At LucidaClub, we are committed to building a company that has sustainability at its centre. Our founder & CEO, Jack Roosevelt, believes in reimagining every aspect of the cannabis retail experience while caring for the environment. Our goal is to provide you with a safe, convenient and an enjoyable service and cannabis products, while working towards being as environmentally friendly and carbon neutral as we can.
We started by reviewing the company and the service we are set to deliver for our customers. We identified an area of our company that would potentially produce the most waste, our packing. We are passionate about our packaging, but we don’t want it to have a negative impact. It is an essential area for our business and for our customers. It needs to be functional and attractive but we understand that it’s packaging, you are probably not going to keep it forever (don’t worry, we understand). which means its usage is short. It was important to us that when our packaging has served its purpose that it doesn’t impact the environment.
So we turned to EcoEnclose to help us design and produce packaging that was as sustainable as we could be. Working with EcoEnclave means that our packing saves resources, reduces water consumption and releases fewer greenhouse gases. The outer box, corrugated bubble wrap and inserts are all made for recyclable materials. The ink used on our boxes is Algae Ink (black ink) and hydro-soy ink (custom color inks). We are rather fond of our Algae Ink as it’s rather cool. It’s the future of ink.
Algae Ink is a revolutionary ink developed by Living Ink Technologies that utilizes algae cells for pigments, making it safer and cleaner to work with, and more compatible with the recycling and composting process.
So, as part of our mission as a company, we are offering LucidaClub customers and members eco-friendly, premium, and elegant packaging to discreetly transport their products from our retailer partners to their homes.
Another key area of focus was with our products and retailer partners. We handpick each retailer based on their customer experience and sustainable policies to mirror, where possible, our vision and values. It’s not always easy, but we are trying!
This is just the beginning. It’s a journey, and as we grow and develop we are always striving to do things better, and that includes being as sustainable as we can while making sure not to affect the offering or experience.
We will continue to keep updated on the efforts we are taking and look forward to including how our actions are impacting the environment.
Any questions, get in touch. We would love to hear from you with ideas, suggestions and comments.
